Your next step after Yogamu

Your Yogamu training gave you the knowledge and the practice. This optional assessment, set and graded by Paracelsus University, lets you demonstrate your understanding of Ayurveda and have it formally recognized. Training is provided by Yogamu; the assessment and certificate are issued by Paracelsus University.

How it works

  1. Online exam: take the final examination online, whenever suits you.
  2. Recording: we send you a case. Record a 20-minute presentation of your assessment and recommendations, and upload it.
  3. Faculty review: a member of the Paracelsus University Ayurveda faculty grades your presentation and sends you written feedback.
  4. Certificate: pass both parts and receive your university certificate, with a certificate number and QR code anyone can verify at parau.org.

  • Ayurvedic principles: doshas, dhatus, agni and prakriti
  • Assessment methods and case analysis
  • Dietary, lifestyle and daily-routine recommendations
  • Communicating clearly with a client
  • Recognizing when a person must see a licensed medical professional

Eligibility and time

For graduates of the Yogamu Ayurveda Practitioner training. Allow about 10 hours to prepare and complete the assessment. One free exam retake and one free resubmission of your recording are included.

This certificate is educational and recognizes the competencies assessed above. It is not an academic degree or a license, and it does not qualify you to diagnose or treat medical conditions. Ayurveda is not a licensed health profession in the United States. Paracelsus University is registered with the Wyoming Department of Education as a private degree-granting institution and is not currently accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Certificates may not be accepted by other institutions.
